.The 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards were held in Las Vegas Thursday night because, really, where else would you have the Latin GRAMMY Awards? The awesome thing about the show being held in Vegas was that it wasn’t strange when nearly every celeb turned up in enough sequins to make Liberace proud. .The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino was filled with shiny stars who brought the glitz and glam, along with a solid dose of crazy. Find out who rocked the green carpet and who just scared us.
The Good

It’s rare to see an actress rock emerald green on the carpet, but Zoe Saldana made this shimmering short-sleeved gown worth the wait. The dress curved the Colombiana star’s curves perfectly, with the matching belt showing off her tiny waist. Well done, Zoe!

It’s nearly impossible for Sofia Vergara to go wrong at awards shows. She has an amazing body, and she knows what works for her. This time, it was a floor-length champagne gown with delicate beading details. The only concession? We wish she’d changed up her hair from time to time. Then again, if we had those waves, we’d show them off too. Sofia always wins!

Why was Massiel Taveras Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2007? Because she looks like this. Long-sleeved maxi dresses are a huge trend right now, and the lawyer/designer owned it in this nude frock with silver lace embellishments. She wears it like a glove—a really pretty glove.

Whoa, Demi Lovato. The plum hue on this plunging floorlength frock is phenomenal. The fact that the singer’s boobs aren’t falling out is also pretty amazing. But why, oh why, does this dress look like a tuxedo jacket exploded? That’s just not right.

Houndstooth is everywhere lately—just ask Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga, who’ve rocked the look from head-to-toe. It’s interesting in doses, but on a one-shouldered shimmery gown with ab cut-outs, it’s a bit out of place. Lucky for Adrienne Bailon, those red lips and the slicked back bun are fierce.

We know the mullet hem trend is huge right now. We don’t approve of it on a normal basis, let alone when it’s in the form of sheer lace. But not only that, Alejandra Guzman paired the horrific look with half of an ’80s prom dress and colorblock metallic wedges. Hey, at least she’s committed to the crazy.
